“I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands…The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.”  Revelation 1:12;20 (NIV)

We are a church of the Lord Jesus Christ, bought by His blood, called by grace to be His disciples to make disciples, to walk in His righteousness, and to be salt and light in this world. We gather as brothers and sisters in Christ to worship and glorify Christ as Lord, and to serve His body the church.

The Lord’s Lampstand Christian Church was “born” during a time when many churches were diluting the gospel, and coming up with “new paradigm shifts” in handling ministry. Having begun his ministry in Bacolod with a church that eventually followed that new paradigm, Pastor Ricky Benitez decided to resign from that church, and, together with other brethren who shared his vision, gathered together to worship – thus giving birth to “The Lord’s Lampstand Christian Church”. The first Sunday Worship service was held June 30, 1996 in the Sea Breeze hotel with around 30 brethren attending. Since then the church has been thankful that God, in His grace, considered, and still considers us, to be His instruments in evangelizing, discipling and in being testimonies of His love and faithfulness in Bacolod City, Cadiz City, and Kabankalan City. Our prayer is that, as His church, we may be used by the Lord for His purposes for the congregation He gives us, and also for Bacolod City, for Negros Occidental, and wherever He may graciously use us.

So what kind of a Christian church are we? In simple terms, this is who we are: We are a Bible based, Bible believing, Bible teaching/preaching church. We preach salvation by grace alone, through faith in Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross. We firmly believe in the sharing of the pure, unadulterated gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, in the expository preaching and teaching of God’s Word, and in the mandate of discipleship. We believe that the church today should walk according to the “ancient paths”, the teachings of Jesus Christ brought to us through the apostles and early church fathers, and as revealed to us in Scripture.

We are also affiliated with the Communion of Christian Ministries (CCM).
